Camp Ages: 5 to 12 years old

Camp Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm each day

    Camp Themes:

    3/13 – A BUG’S LIFE

We appreciate all animals big and small - even the slimy, jumpy, creepy crawlies. And while these creatures tend to gross people out, they are hugely important in our ecosystems! We are going to get up close to some of our very own creepy crawlies to learn more about a day in the life of a bug.

    3/14 – PLAYFUL PRIMATES

Other than the fact that they are absolutely adorable, when you discover more about the primates of the world, they will surely amaze, impress, and possibly even weird you out. Campers will spend the day investigating these interesting and very smart animals.  This day is certain to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!

    3/15 –  JOIN THE HERD!

While some animals enjoy the quiet life alone, many creatures prefer and survive by living in groups. Can you imagine what it’s like for some animals to form incredible herds of thousands of its kind? Let’s make some new friends and band together to explore the herding animals of the zoo!

    3/16 – FEEL THE HEAT

It is springtime – the sun is out, the birds are chirping, and the snakes are slithering! Come out and learn about our scaly friends like snakes, lizards, and alligators, who love to bask in the sun and soak in the rays.

    3/17 – CALLING ALL CARNIVORES!

Which animals are the ferocious meat-eaters of the Naples Zoo? How do they hunt? We will explore carnivores both big and small, including some of the most fearless animals in the world. Hold on to your hats campers, it’s going to be a wild ride!

  • EVENING LECTURE: Pythons & Florida

    Mar 16th, 2017
    6:00pm - 8:00pm

The first wild Burmese python in Florida was documented in 1979. In the past decade, however, their numbers appear to have skyrocketed. The negative impact on native wildlife populations is just beginning to be understood. Join Ian Bartoszek, biologist at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, to hear what he's learned from three challenging years of research on the pythons of Collier County and possible paths forward for residents and land managers in dealing with this new member of the ecosystem. Naples Zoo is one of the funders of this important research.

Gather at the python exhibit for an informal mixer from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by his presentation and Q&A in the Safari Canyon open-air theater until 8 p.m. Please dress comfortably for this evening outdoors.

    RSVP TODAY.

Admission: $10 | Naples Zoo Members: FREE
