
5th Annual Wild Shots Photo Contest: 2010
Come to Naples Zoo this summer and snap your best photos to submit in the Wild Shots Photo Contest. Choices abound for the perfect picture to enter. From wild animals in their habitats and the colorful flowers to the various native wildlife species that make use of Zoo's natural landscape, Naples Zoo presents a diversity of wildlife and botanicals. Photos taken at Naples Zoo anytime in 2010 can be submitted to one of three categories for the Wild Shots Photo Contest.
The Grand Prize winner in each category will receive:
- Children: $189.95 value. (12 and under) A one year Family Membership to Naples Zoo (139.95 value) plus the animal of the winner's choice as an Animal Parent Protector ($50 value). Additional prizes to be announced will add to the total value.
- Novice: $300 value.(beginners and non-professionals) A one year Conservator Membership ($250 value) to Naples Zoo plus the animal of the winner's choice as an Animal Parent Protector ($50 value). Additional prizes to be announced will add to the total value.
- Advanced: $1,050 value. (considerable photographic experience to professionals) A one year Patron Membership ($1,000 value) to Naples Zoo plus the animal of the winner's choice as an Animal Parent Protector ($50 value). Additional prizes to be announced will add to the total value.
Photographers select which category they enter. Photos must be color, 5” x 7” or 8” x 10”, and should be unmounted and unframed. Submissions are due by September 3, 2010.
Images can be mailed to Wild Shots Photo Contest, Naples Zoo, 1590 Goodlette Frank Road, Naples, FL 34102 or dropped off at the Zoo's gift shop during open hours. Winners of the contest will be notified by September 24, 2010 and award presentations will be held on Saturday, October 2 at Naples Zoo. Contestants need not be present to win. Dates and events subject to change.
