Volunteer Programs

The Zoo & You!

Volunteers provide crucial services for our nationally accredited zoo and historic garden. And we currently have fun and rewarding volunteer and intern roles ready for you.

Volunteers assist with many important jobs including educating guests about the amazing animals, preparing diets behind the scenes, assisting guests at the boat dock, tending the garden, operating the A/V system for the shows, looking after guest safety and enjoyment, and much more.

While volunteering you will have the opportunity to learn, make new friends, and help the plants and animals. We are looking for individuals at least 16 years of age who can devote at least 4 hours a week. Seasonal volunteers are welcome. Apply today and join our wildly fun team of nature lovers!

Animal Interpreters

Informally share wild information about the fascinating animals at Naples Zoo and ways guests can help them. Interpreters all start with the Giraffes, but have the option of moving to other animals after a training period.

And yes, this includes the new Florida panther!

Primate Expedition Cruises

Assist on the dock for our Primate Expedition Cruises. You get to answer guest questions, assist them as they board and disembark the catamarans, and review cruise etiquette for safety and provide tips for the best viewing of the primates.

Animal Show Aides

Help run the Audio/Visual equipment during our Safari Canyon shows including making announcements at the start and end of the show form the operation booth.
